Welcome to Network of Sustainable Development and Education (NSDE) Organization, where we are dedicated to realizing the vision of a more equitable and sustainable world.
NSDE Foundation is expanding access to education for Afghan girls through a renewed online schooling model in partnership with Alekain Foundation. Together, we offer eligible students the opportunity to continue accredited, online secondary school education through Alekain’s program delivered by Smart Schools International, a fully accredited online high school.
This program is designed for Afghan girls who have completed middle school and are ready to take the next step toward a recognized high school credential. Learning is flexible and primarily asynchronous, allowing students to study from home while following a structured academic path. Students should be prepared for a meaningful weekly commitment to succeed.
Afghan girls have faced severe restrictions on education. This project responds with a safe, structured pathway to continue learning beyond middle school – without requiring physical attendance at school. By partnering with Alekain Foundation and Smart Schools International, NSDE helps students access a credible academic program that supports both learning and future mobility.
Participants enroll in a fully accredited online secondary program and complete coursework that leads to an internationally recognized high school diploma, creating a pathway to higher education and broader career opportunities.
The model is designed to accommodate students’ realities while maintaining high academic standards. Coursework is delivered online, and students progress through the program with clear expectations and support.
NSDE and partners support students throughout their studies with essential services such as:
This program is designed for Afghan girls who:
Student safety is a priority. Participation includes a strong focus on privacy and protection. Parental consent is required, and confidentiality expectations help reduce risk for students, families, and all stakeholders involved.
By helping Afghan girls complete accredited secondary education, this project advances SDG 4: Quality Education and builds long-term opportunity. A diploma is more than a certificate—it is a bridge to higher education, independence, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to families and communities.
