Marta Menéndez Martín

I am Marta Menéndez, general health psychologist, graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid. I have a solid academic background supported by three masters in child and adolescent psychology and third generation therapies, studied at the University of Alcalá de Henares and the Complutense University of Madrid . In addition, for more than eight years I have combined my career with teaching, giving English classes and academic support. This experience has allowed me to connect with students, guide them in their learning and help them reach their full potential. A few months ago, I decided to take a significant turn in my professional career and founded **Terapiaypunto.es**, my own online psychology clinic. From this space, I provide personalized professional attention, combining my experience in advanced therapies with an approach adapted to the digital environment to accompany people of all ages on their way to emotional well-being. However, my vocation goes beyond consulting. I have always felt a deep altruistic commitment, and when I learned about NSDE’s project to help Afghan girls, I did not hesitate to join. The situation these girls and women live in is heartbreaking, and I firmly believe that education is the most powerful tool to transform their reality and open the doors to a more just future full of opportunities. Contributing to this cause not only inspires me, but also reinforces my conviction that every day is the best time to help these girls and women. Throughout my career, I have learned that personal and social growth is not only achieved through clinical care, but also through education and the opportunity to empower people in vulnerable situations. This holistic approach has led me to actively engage in projects such as NSDE, which allows me to unite my professional experience with my more human and caring side. My goal is to continue building a legacy based on support, empathy and education, both in my psychological practice and in my altruistic actions. I strongly believe in the transformative power of small actions and the impact that can be made by offering hope and tools to those facing extreme challenges, such as the Afghan girls whose stories inspire my daily efforts to make a difference. I am convinced that change begins with commitment and determination to contribute from our strengths, and every step I take in my professional and personal life is guided by this mission. Psychology, education and altruism are the pillars that define my work and my purpose: to help build a world that is more just, equitable and full of opportunities for all.
